A New Word for “102”
Fifth week of the BTCC Championship with tons of thrill, suspense and drama at Summit Point. Thrill, suspense and drama for everyone but Omer Kinay, that with his five wins in a row calms down the will of revenge of the rampaging BMWs and shows to the world why FWD cars are better – especially if he is the driver. With his blatant superiority Kinay provoked two major facts: the Sim Racing System admins are evaluating to casually change the points reward for a win (maybe 101, maybe 103) in order to spice up things a little and avoid long lists of the same number; and linguistics scholars are considering to change the English word for “102” to “Kinay” (or to “Omer”, according to some, the debate is still in progress).
And what about the other 4Fun racers of the team? The sinister consequences of the Donington Curse shadowed the week race of Dario Bucalo and Gianluca Roncaglia. Bucalo Bill had only one bullet to shoot in his gun before getting back to Iowa for the rest of the week with no chances to race and largely missed the target (only a 15th place for him), but with a lot of justifications since he had no time to properly practice before firing his gun at the Summit. He’d have better luck next time, with the hope he will not disappoint his many fans across the Internet that eagerly wait for his second win. Also no Kinay (or Omer) for Roncaglia this week (3rd, 5th, 11th and 6th in his four races): struggling a lot with car handling and sweating hard fearing deadly spins, he could never find the right pace despite three pole positions. If only Soft tires would have lasted longer… However, Roncaglia had a great sci-fi adventure in his last race and earned himself a degree in Astrophysics by discovering a Black Hole at T3 in Summit Point: while second and tough battling for the first place, in the second last lap got off track after missing his braking point, entered the abovementioned Black Hole and warped 1 lap behind in time. He became 1.13 minutes younger but dropped to last place. After Kinay’s flying saucer at Donington and Roncaglia’s time travel in Summit Point, we’re all expecting some fantasy adventure in Brands Hatch for Bucalo too. Stay tuned for the BTCC last week report!
