SRS Season 2021.2 Week 3 Recap
3rd week of the season, an important part of the championship. Lots of close last laps!
ALFA ROMEO GIULIA TZ โ Bikernieki Speed (LV)
Ted Hough wins for the 3rd time in a row (surprising, isn’t it?) 2nd place for Alex Nelson, in front of Robert Duplantier, who made a nice fight against Jari Penttinen. In the championship, Ted has already a gap of 21 points on Alex. Robert Duplantier increases his gap on Penttinen to five points. 5th place for Riley Gallardo, with 11 points less than the Finnish driver. Riley had the chance to finish on the podium during this race, but in a tight fight against Duplantier, Penttinen, Andrzey Gruszka (5th in the race, 6th in the championship) , himself and Michal Janak (7th both in the race and championship)

FERRARI 599XX EVO โ Road Atlanta Short (US)

David won the race just 0.138 seconds in front of Alex. 3rd place for Robert Duplantier, 4th Eduardo Cavalcanti, who finished in an incredible 1.708 seconds gap from the leader! This slow car, with some good drivers, is able to make amazing races. Anyway, the championship, despite some good races for Alex, is almost closed, with David 23 points ahead of the American driver, who is one point in front of Robert Duplantier. 4th place for Robert Duplantier, with 5 points more than Steen Toudal, and 6 from Michal Janak.

MASERATI & PORSCHE GT4 โ Bikernieki Speed (LV)
Javier Brandao wins the 3rd race of the GT4 championship! Another close race this week, with Riley Gallardo just 3 tenths behind him. P3 for Alex Nelson, who didn’t do really well in the Latvian racetrack, where the Maserati had a big advantage on the Porsche. In the championship, his race lets Riley to close the gap to 5 points, and Javier to 7, and with three races to go, it seems to be really interesting. 4th place for Daniel de Mena, and P5 for James Leeder.

FERRARI 288 GTO โ Mugello (IT)
And Giuseppe Iaria wins the 3rd race in a row! Domination for the Italian, who doesn’t have, right now, any enemy. 2nd place for Michal Janak just in front of Robert Duplantier, in a last lap that could have decided the race, with a “drunk” backmarker. Just 4th Matteo Venuti, in a car that doesn’t fit him so much. In the championship, Giuseppe Iaria has lots of points on Robert Duplantier, 15. Safe gap between Robert and Michal too, with 16 points separating the drivers that ended on the podium. Meanwhile, Venuti pays a lot his result, being 4th, 10 points from the Czech driver. 5th Andrzej Gruszka.

Just 3rd David Iglesias, the Spaniard lost the rear on turn 4 with some laps to go, losing the place on Pedro, and 7 points that could be really important at the end of the championship. 7 points is also the gap between David and Matteo. 3rd Pedro, 29 points behind the leader. Then, Michael Martin 4th in front of Michael Post, with a gap bigger than the distance between Earth and the Sun.

PORSCHE BATTLE โ Thomson Road GP (SG)
James Leeder wins in the twisty and hard Thomson Road circuit! Great race for him, who managed to win the race with the modern Porsche. 2nd place for David Broomhead, who, luckily, wasn’t really close to anyone. In this track, his livery might have sent some people into some light poles. 3rd place for Rick Longano, pver one minute from David. Shame for his 5 incident. In the championship, Anthony Dawson is still leading, with a gap of 19 points on James Tumilty. 3rd place for Ryan Asquith, who has missed the first round at Cadwell Park. 4th place for Francisco Labrado and 5th Ruben Castro.
