3rd 4Fun Team Championship – Week 2 Report
Springtime is marching in, the season is getting hotter – well, except in Canada, where Omer Kinay, David Broomhead, Colin Chilibeck and Christopher Myles are still shoveling snow – and the 4Fun Team Championship is already at his hottest! Yes, you are all waiting for the 4Fun GP Event (it is rumored that also Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos will watch the stream), but first take a deep breath and read what happened in Ahvenisto and at the Paul Ricard Circuit before getting back to practice with your GT3 smoking guns!
Note: On last week’s results for the Peugeot series the Evolution Racing Team was erroneously credited with 88 points instead than the correct 85. Thanks to Simone “Maths King” Saviolo for noticing; and also to 4Fun Calculators for showing us that perfection is boring! General Rankings fixed.
Peugeot 106 Rallye Series – Weekly Report
It may have been a surprise at first, but now it’s as solid as the ground you walk on: the Team Havoline guys (106 pts.) are on a high ride and will claim the final top rank as they’re once again on the highest step of the podium in the Peugeot 106 series! The slowest, the fastest: Michal “Model” Janak (100,67 pts. with two wins) and Matheus “Five” Nolli (110,67 pts. and three wins out of three races) slowly defeated all the opponents; Nolli also confirms himself as MVP “Matheus: Versed Pilot” of the week. Hey, guys, slow down or you’ll arrive too early! Once again, second place for the 4Fun Sim Racing guys (103 pts.), with valuable results and also some housekeeping help to his mother right before a race [true; Ed’s note] for Matteo “Family Man” Venuti (105 pts., a win and the best qualy laptime) and a bunch of second places for Gianluca “Second Place” Roncaglia (101,6 pts.), who ranked in second place in a lot of races since he’s a second-places-addict – on second places he’s second to none! On third place, and happily joining a Team Championship podium for the first time, the Evolution Racing guys (96 pts.) are doing another evolutive step forward thanks to Juan Medina (97,33 pts. and a win) and Pablo Villarroel (95 pts. and two second places). Congrats, homines velocissimi, rock solid results!
On fourth place, by 1 point only, the rude – time for a twist! – GentDrivers guys, once again led by the Special Alien Guest Simon Speth (105,75 pts. and a win) and once again getting a full team support from Roman Bisanz (95 pts. and a win), Tim Masson (94 pts. and a couple of podium placements) and Abdon Socias (85,4 pts.). Well, rude or polite, they’re always Gents and always getting to the top! Fifth place with a better performance but stepping one place back, the Commonwealth fellas of HR Racing team (91 pts.), leaded by an amazing Andrew “Can’t Find a Proper Nick, Please Help” Roberts (96,5 pts. and always on the podium) but also showing good performances despite the left-driven car from Nicholas “Here’s Nick” Hall (86,33 pts.). Britannia Rules! On sixth place, after an afterhour party in the lounge room of the hotel they booked near the Ahvenisto track, the Hot Wheels guys (72 pts.), or, better said, the Hot Wheel guy Stefano Galeazzo, playing all alone throughout the field and scoring two goals for 93,5 pts., while all his other teammates were joining their ultra-exclusive pool party – ask @Gianluca Roncaglia for further info and high-priced entrance tickets for the next one to be held in Vallelunga!
Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Series – Weekly Report
If you are a twists’ avid reader hanging on every cliffhanger, well, skip this part since once again at first place in the Porsche GT3 Cup series we have the freaky aliens of TradePriceCars along with their narrow ears, six fingers per hand and 103 pts.! Three racers (Sergio Mendez got back to his hometown in the Andromeda nebula for this week), two races each: minimum effort and a galactic result! Once again David “Julio” Iglesias (110 pts.) delivers a full mailbox of wins and best laps placements and is the MVP (“Most Validating Postman”) of the week, while Simon Speth (101 pts.) and Alex Leif (98 pts.) sent a pack of good results via Mend-Ex courier to all their opponents. Talking about sending, nothing of course compares 2 the Full Send Racing guys (96 pts.), feeding the flame of the fight thanks to Jason “J.J.” Jones (102,6 pts. and a win), Colin “C.C.” Chilibeck (97,5 pts. and two second places) and Giuseppe “G.D.A.G.D.A.” D’Andrea (89 pts., on a much better trend than in the past week). Well, this is gonna be a postal fight, stamp after stamp! Once again, third step on the podium for the gentry of the GentDrivers team (86 pts.), collecting some pearls thanks to Roman Bisanz (96 pts., a win) and Tim “© and TM” Masson (95,5 pts., a win) and overall good results with Lars Mars (94,5 pts. with a second place), Christopher Myles (85,6 pts. once again on five races) and Abdon Socias (72,33 pts.).
On fourth place, as for the past week, the yellow devils of Team Havoline (84 pts.), driving with accuracy their yellow submarines to a couple of good results (although with no wins) thanks to Matheus Nolli (93,25 pts.) and Michal “What Is That 86 in My Results?” Janak (91 pts.), Juan “Crew Chief’s Chief” Alberdi (76,67 pts.) and Eduardo “Wizard of Oz” Odriozola (73,75 pts.). Well, the Havoline have a line! Once again on fifth place, although with a slight points decrease, the flying Finnish guys of the Härsi Team (78 pts.), that as promised fought hard on the track and are eagerly looking for success with Mikko Eerola (84,20 pts.), Ilmari Ylitalo (75 pts.) and Samuli Kakko (74 pts.). Be ready for some more action with them! On the sixth place of the ranking, singing Salt-n-Pepa’s 80s hit Push It, the pushing guys of the PleasePushMe posse (74 pts.), a little stuck in the last weeks and impatiently waited for some fighting upper class action by all their opponents. So far they did some gangsta rappin’ with Nicolò “MC-Come Back!” Bachetti (76 pts.), Stefano “MC-Fiorentina” Casamonti (74,5 pts.) and Simone “MC-Pin” Pinto (86 pts.). Looking forward for some fresh new rap on the top of the pop, guys! On seventh place and settling down on lower ground, the Evolution Racing team (66 pts.), only active with Pablo Villarroel (81,33 pts.) this week, with Juan Medina wondering on his condition of homo GT3eus. And, once again, time of devolution, deflation, and debilitation for the 4Fun Sim Racing guys (65 pts.): well, one race-one win for Matteo “Paganini” Venuti (80,5 pts.), while Dario “GP” Bucalo was supposed to race many times during the week but unfortunately after his last modding fix on his wheel he has no idea of where the hell is the ON button now. Anyone with a second hand wheel on his rescue?
And that’s all for the week, see you all on the track for the 4Fun GP and also for seven days of frozen pizza in Vallelunga and in Mugello!
