The 4th week of this season is over and it’s coming to an end, here it is the weekly recap!
PORSCHE 718 RS 60 SPYDER – Laguna Seca (US)
And Jason Jones wins the 4th round of the Roundel Racing Porsche 718 Championship! A superbe win for the Canadian, who was the fastest on track and nobody could match his tremendous pace. He won ahead of Riley Gallardo by almost 6 seconds. Ted Hough was close, but here at Laguna Seca the chances of overtakes with that pace are really low. Out of the podium there are Jari Penttinen and, a bit far behind, Robert Duplantier. The Frenchman ended ahead of the previous championship leader, Janak, who after a 6th place, he lost the lead in one of the closest standings in SRS’ recent memories, in favour of Jones, now 1st by just two points. 3rd Gallardo, 5 points beind this week’s winner. 4th place for Hough, 2 points in front of Penttinen. From P1 to P5, the gap is just of 11 points. Crazy! Next week the classic Watkins Glen will be it will be the scene of the penultimate race of the season!

He overtook Cesar Pereyra on the 9th lap, when he made a mistake. 4th place for Emiliano Videla ahead of Pasha Paterson the owner of the series. The championship seems to be completely in Bouwmeester’s hands, who has 51 points more than Videla, who’s just one point ahead of Russell Sobie, 6th this week. 4th place for Paterson, who also took a place in the standings from Rob Russo and Saagar Bakshi, after this great performance. Next week’s race will be done at Kyalami!
