Second week of the 7th season of the year! Dramatic races and results
SHELBY COBRA SC427 β Riverside Long πΊπΈ
After a chaotic race at Watkins Glen, Erik Axelsson wins at Riverside! One incident for the Swedish, who ended ahead of last week’s winner Antonio Massad. 3rd place for Robert Duplantier who, together with Michal Janak, took advantage from Jari Penttinen’s mistake on the 7th lap. Massad leads solidly the championship with a 15 points gap on Axelsson, with just 3 on Penttinen. 4th place for Duplantier, 10 points ahead of Biberacher. Silverstone Classic will be the track for the next week!
FORD MUSTANG β Okayama GP π―π΅
Another race, another win for Matheus Nolli! The Brazilian won pretty easily the Okayama race, 11 seconds ahead of Martin Smith and Emiliano Videla, who took the podium after a difficult finish for James Leeder, 3rd for most of the race. On the last lap he crashed with Russell Sobie, finishing just 7th and 8th. The 4th place was taken by Victor Guilherme, with just 0.4 seconds aheead of Jay Gabriel. With the 2nd consecutive win Nolli increased his championship lead by 9 points on Smith, who has 3 more than Videla. 4th place for Gabriel, ahead of Guilherme. Thruxton will be the track for the next race!
BTCC 1999 β Goodwood π¬π§
Alberto Dorobantu wins at Goodwood! His BMW, like everyone else with that car, was similar to a Ducati with the holeshot device. During the race, the Nissans were able to gain a lot of time from the German cars. Craig Gillett ended second ahead of Michael Martin, the first one with the Nissan. 4th place for Tim Jones who ended ahead of Robert Edmed. Basically except for Alberto it was a British domination, that is possible to see in the championship standings, with Martin leading on James Tumilty. 1 point behind him there’s Gillett, with 4 on Jones and 5 on Cameron Winters who used a stunning livery. Silverstone GP will be the track for the next week!
LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR β Donington GP π¬π§
Mikko Tikka wins again! He has dominated the first two races of the championship in a dominant way, this time with 7 seconds on Michal Janak and Jason Jones, despite being a little bit faster. 4th place for Michael Martin, ending some seconds ahead of Didier Lemoine who overtook, due to a mistake, Joona Huikuri on the last lap. Tikka is dominating the championship right now, with 14 points on Janak and 17 on Jones. 4th place for Martin, who is in front of Huikuri. Monza will be the track for next week!
DAYTONA PROTOTYPES β Sebring πΊπΈ
James Pendry wins at Sebring! A great win the the Brit who won ahead of Riley Gallardo by 14 seconds. Riley gained two places on Scott Garrick and Javier Brandao, after losing some seconds at the end after a contact. Just 5th place for Austin Ogonoski after being 3rd for most of the race. Gallardo leads the championship by 14 points on Pendry, who had a disappointing opening race with just a 6th place. P3 for Brandao, 1 point ahead of Ogonoski. 5th there’s Russell Sobie. Road America will be the track for the next race!
GINETTA G55 GT3 β Road America πΊπΈ
A dramatic end for the 2nd race of the series, who saw Sergio Mendez winning closely ahead of Michael Martin and Alex Carolan! He crashed and got severe damages to his car on the 7th lap, and some seconds later he crashed with Matteo Venuti, who spun out and ended 5th just behind Hampus Gallmo. After the race Sergio Mendez leads the championship with a 15 points gap on Venuti. 5 points behind P2 there’s Martin, who’s in front of Mark Puc. 5th place for Alex Leif. Daytona Road Course will be used the next week!
MAZDA MX5 TIME ATTACK β Road Atlanta πΊπΈ
James Leeder wins again with the Mazda! A close win for the American, who ended just half a second in front of Luke Bouwmeester, who was slighty faster and almost gained the lead at the end of the race. 3rd place for Martin Smith, after a chaotic first lap. The last one with full laps was Don Debienne, ahead of John Krahne who has been lapped. Leeder is the leader of the championship with the maximum amount of poitns,14 ahead of Bouwmeester who ended two times 2nd with one incident. 3rd place for Debienne, 4 points ahead of Smith. 5th place for Krahne with 168 points.
PORSCHE 908 LH β Silverstone Classic π¬π§
Ted Hough wins at Silverstone after a nice battle against Jari Penttinen in the first half of the race, who ended second ahead of Riley Gallardo. 4th place for Michal Janak who has lost a lot of time from Bogdan Cvetkovic in the last few minutes. Both of them were lucky to avoid Matteo “The Spinner” Venuti. After his 2nd consecutive win, Hough leads the championship by 8 points on Penttinen, who has just 3 more than Janak. A bit far behind there is Gallardo followed by Venuti. The classic circuit of Fuji will be used next week!
FORMULA HYBRID 2018 β Spa-Francorchamps π§πͺ
Two chaotic races at Spa-Francorchamps saw Roman Smirnov and Vitor Ribeiro Goncalves finishing 1st, in those cases without any incidents. The first day saw Clemens Bauer finishing second, ahead of Toni Zachow. Lots of incidents happened at the back, and this is the same for the following race on Sunday. Roman Smirnov ended second with 7 incidents, and Bauer 3rd with 4. Michael Martin, thanks to a clean P4, now is tied on top of the standings with Toni Zachow, and they are just 2 points ahead of Bauer. 4th at 3 points from the leaders there’s Jose Lapraille, who got a P4 too this weekend. 5th place for Roman Smirnov. Portimao will hosts next week’s races!
TATUUS FA01 β Hockenheim GP π©πͺ
After the second week, the battle between the top 3 is really open, with Eduardo Sa leading with 8 wins and 2 P2s, one more than Riley Gallardo. 3rd place for Luke Sutherland, with one less win. 4th there’s Andrea Gisuto with 3 P1, one more than Roman Bisanz, tied with Lars Mars, despite some less podiums for the Belgian. Spa-Francorchamps will host the races for the next week!
AUSTIN MINI COOPER S β Tsukuba π―π΅
Just two drivers at the end of the second week have the maximum amount of points, and they are Matheus Nolli, 5 wins, and Matteo Venuti, 2 wins. 11 points behind them there are Roman Bisanz, who’s ahead of Michal Janak. 3rd place for Walter Toro. Goodwood will be the track for the next week!
LOTUS EVORA GX β Buriram πΉπ
Alexander Persil is leading the Lotus championship! 5 wins out of 10 races brings him onto the top of the leaderboard, just ahead of Lucas Biberacher and Maurice Klerken with 4 and 3 wins. 4th place for Michal Janak who is, in this case, ahead of Roman Bisanz both with 2 wins, but with one more podium on the side of the Czech. Zandvoort will be the track for the next week!
PORSCHE 911 RSR EURO β Paul Ricard Blancpain π«π·
After the week in the most famous French airport, Fredrik Soderstedt still leads the championship with the maximum amount of points. 2nd place for Kevin Pruscha, who won his first race of the championship the last week. 2 points behind him sits Demis Houtrelle, 1 point ahead of Juan Seijas. 5th place for Robert Biggs, the first one without any win. Okayama GP will be the track for the next week!
PORSCHE 911 RSR AMERICA β Spa-Francorchamps π§πͺ
Ryan Thomas and Emiliano Videla win at Spa! The first race was a bit poor of people, and saw Pasha Paterson ending second ahead of Thomas Goldschmidt, and in the following race behind the championship leade there were Javier Brandao, who got overtaken by Emiliano on the penultimate lap, and James Leeder. The winner of the Sunday race leads the championship with the same stats as Thomas, despite one less race. 3rd place for Paterson, 4 points ahead of Juan Illanes. 5th place for Goldschmidt. Summit Point will be the track for the next week!
