
SRS Season 2022.1 Week 2 Recap
Here we are with the 2nd recap of the season!
MCLAREN F1 GTR – Daytona Road Course ๐บ๐ธ
What a finish for the 2nd race of this championship! Simon Speth takes the win after overtaking Lucas biberacher right on the final meters of the race, using all the slipstream after a good exit from the chicane. 3rd place for Matija Rasinec, who led the race from start until 3 laps to go when he made a mistake, losing around 10 seconds. 4th place for Philip Clegg, author of a great battle in the opening stages of the race with Virgilio Bomfim, followed by Craig Gillett. Speth still leads the championship, 14 points ahead of Rasinec. 3 points behind him there’s Biberacher, who has a 10 point gap from Clegg. Behind him, with the same amount of points there are Jari Penttinen (7th in the race) and Bomfim. Montreal will be the track for the next week!

PORSCHE 911 GT AMERICA – Mosport ๐จ๐ฆ
An easy win for Martin Smith in Mosport, where he dominated the Porsche 911 GT America race winning 17 seconds ahead of Oggi Pineas. 3rd place for James Leeder, who set the 2nd fastest lap of the race. Out of the podium there’s Pasha Paterson, who, together with Handy Hanafiah, took the position on the last lap from Greg Shimer due to a mistake. Smith leads the championship with 2 wins out of 2 races, 19 points ahead of Pineas. 3rd place for Hanafiah, with 3 more points than Paterson, and 6 from Ramiro Dominguez, 10th in the race. Kyalami will be used for the 3rd race of the championship!
TARK ESTONIA-25 – Croft ๐ฌ๐ง
The 2nd rae of the Estonia championship, held at Croft, was influenced by many slow-down penalties, also at the top of the standings. Lucas Biberacher wins once again with the Eastern Europe car, after losing the lead for 1 lap from Craig Gillett in the final stages of the race. Then he got a penalty, and lost the lead and also another place from Philip Clegg, 2nd at the end. 4th place for Tim Jones, followed by Matija Rasinec. With this win Biberacher remains in the lead, 22 points ahead of Rasinec. 4 points behind the Croatian sits Gillett. Out of the podium, tied on points, there are Jones and Penttinen (9th in the race). Ledenon will be the track for the next week!
TATUUS FA01 – Monza ๐ฎ๐น
This time the drivers were headed into Monza, but they preferred to eat pizza and some cotolette. The next race will be at the Nurburgring, but probably the drivers will go to eat some wurstel and some leberwurst.
FORD MUSTANG BOSS 429 – Laguna Seca ๐บ๐ธ
Matija Rasinec wins at Laguna Seca! Excellent win for him, who won in front of Jari Penttinen and Antonio Ambra, in his first race in the championship. During the race nothing happened between them, but in the lower places there was some more action, with Rico Haas (who started 7th) finishing ahead of Sebastian Rosenlew. Thanks to these results, Penttinen and Rasinec are both tied on point, exactly 200. 16 points behind them there’s Haas, 9 ahead of Michal Janak (7th in the race). 5th place for Danny Mueller, after finishing 9th. Bridgehampton will be used for the next race!

GINETTA G55 GT4 – Red Bull Ring GP ๐ฆ๐น
Late drama in the Ginetta race! Ramiro Dominguez wins the race ahead of Riley Gallardo, after a crash on the penultimate lap which involved them. Ramiro was still behind, but on the last lap Dominguez overtook Gallardo winning the race. Behind them Kevin Woodward takes a good 3rd place, 2.3 seconds ahead of Oggi Pineas and Martin Smith. Gallardo still leads the championship, 5 points ahead of Dominguez, followed by Woodward. 4th place for Emiliano Videla who ended 10th, after starting on pole, followed by Smith, just 1 point behind the Argentinian. Most will held the race next week!

PORSCHE 911 RSR 2017 – Brands Hatch GP ๐ฌ๐ง
Mike Richard wins at Brands Hatch! A comfortable win leading from start to finish, giving 8 seconds to Mark Puc, followed by Tayeb Belala, a new promising driver on the SRS scene. An excellent 4th place for Daniel Lorente, who made an excellent start going from 11th to 5th in just two laps. Behind him there’s Shon Marantz, after starting in 2nd place and losing some places in the first part of the race, recovered until P5. After this race, Puc leads the championship with 184 points, 16 more than Urko Gonzalez, since the winner of the 1st race was author of a very disappointing race, just 14th. 3rd place for Ilmari Ylitalo, 2 points ahead of Gergely Mazak and 3 of Max Spied. Laguna Seca will be the track for the next week!

MERCEDES 190E EVO II – Bridgehampton ๐บ๐ธ
An wonderful race happened on the 2nd round of this championship with 3 different drivers leading the race, with Austin Ogonoski winning with just 4 tenths ahead of James Leeder, who made a stunning comeback after going back to 8th place almost winning the race. 3rd place for Riley Gallardo, followed by Martin Smith and far behind Kevin Woodward. After this great race, Smith, Leeder and Gallardo are literally tied on points (187), 16 ahead of Carson Engemoen (8th in the race), who has 1 more point than Woodward. The next race will be held at Sachsering, hopefully it’s going to be an another exciting event!

LOTUS 72D – Vallelunga ๐ฎ๐น
Matija Rasinec wins at Vallelunga! He ended just 9 tenths ahead of the poleman Austin Ogonoski and 1.4 seconds from Michal Janak, who led the race for 10 laps, before falling down in P3. 4th place for James Pendry, followed by Rico Haas. In the standings, Ogonoski is ahead of everybody, 7 points in front of both Rasinec and Janak. 4th place for Jari Penttinen (6th in the race), just ahead of Virgilio Bomfim (10th). Portimao will be the track for the next race of this championship!
FERRARI 312/67 – Watkins Glen Classic ๐บ๐ธ
Another Italian 1-2 in a chaotic Saturday race, with Giuseppe Iaria winning in front of Matteo Venuti, followed by Michal Janak, who made a great comeback after a crash on the first lap. The 2nd race was won by Matija Rasinec, in front of Collin Dunham and Clemens Bauer. After the race Iaria leads the championship with 204 points, 4 more than Dunham. 3rd place for Venuti, 6 points ahead of Janak. 5th place for Bauer, tied on points with Rico Haas. Thomson Road will be used next week!

DALLARA F317 – Donington National ๐ฌ๐ง
At the end of the 2nd week, Jaap Wagenvoort leads the championship with 8 wins, the same as Luke Sutherland. 7 wins for Ilmari Ylitalo, followed by Justin Barouky at 6. 5th place for Martijn van t Land, with 4 wins. Spa-Francorchamps will be the track for the next week!

HONDA CIVIC TYPE R EP3 – Cadwell Park Full ๐ฌ๐ง
Matteo Venuti leads the Honda championship with 4 wins, one more than Marco Armosini. 3rd place for Andrea Giusto with two wins, the same as Roman Bisanz, followed by Massimiliano Cazzaniga, with 1 win at 200 points. Brands Hatch GP will be the track for the next week!

GT3 DAILY – Grobnik ๐ญ๐ท
Andrzej Gruszka increases his championship lead with 4 wins, one more than Mikko Eerola and Mateusz Tokarski. 4th place for Alexey Sokolov, tied with Matteo Venuti with 2 wins. Barcellona Moto will be used next week!

PORSCHE 911 GT3 CUP DAILY โ Calabogie ๐จ๐ฆ
In the three valid races hosted this week, Andrzej Gruszka and Walter Toro contended their wins, with the Spaniard taking two of them. Now Toro is the only one with the maximum amount of points, 3 more than Gruszka, who took an incident in his sole win. 3rd place for Dimitri Syrkin, followed by Craig Gillet 3 points ahead of Regimantas Komza. Laguna Seca will be the track for the next week!

PORSCHE 911 GT3 CUP EURO โ Calabogie ๐จ๐ฆ
After the two races, won by Martijn van Bommel, and Hugo Hekkenberg, the standings changed quite a lot. Hekkenberg is leading the championship with 200 points, 9 more than Rico Haas and 10 than Martin Kraaijenbrink, the first one without a win. 4th place for Kevin Pruscha, followed by Gaetano Santonicola. Like the Porsche Daily series, Laguna Seca will be the track for the next week!

PORSCHE 911 GT3 CUP AMERICA – Mosport ๐จ๐ฆ
Unluckily, nothing else appened this week, so the standings remain the same, with Matheus Freitas followed by Walter Toro, ahead of Andreas Specht, Oggi Pineas and Handy Hanafiah. Imola should be used as the track for the next week!
